LIVE FROM MY KEYBOARD
For 40+ years I did over 10,000 radio shows to big audiences in big cities all over America
Now in this different world reaching an audience means social media, podcasts, videos, live performances, possibly TV and radio, and of course WRITING
All of those platforms go into a Richard Simmons SALAD SHOOTER (look it up kids, and RIP Richard) and spit out your reach and potential impact
It's not BROADcasting, it's what…
-narrow casting, silo casting, target casting?
It's a lot of work but a new way of entertaining and informing. It's good and bad. There are pros and cons
But as an Olympic level procrastinator I've put this logical step off long enough and I'm happy to be here on Substack
So, let's take a few questions…
WHY NOW?
I could tell you it's court ordered therapy but that's only partly true
The truth is each platform previously mentioned has a foundation that must be properly executed for maximum success
For example video is better with proper lighting and a good hair day. As a bald guy I never have a bad hair day
The writing is essential to everything else and this is the obvious step for me to be a part of the conversation…unless that conversation is just the voices in my head
OK BUT WHY SHOULD WE SUBSCRIBE?
I think a better question is why shouldn't you subscribe?
It's not like there's a billion shows to stream. There's not 100 lifetimes of clips to watch. There's only a few podcasts out there like my favorite*
*LIVE FROM MY OFFICE wherever you get your podcasts
You should subscribe because what I write will be funny, entertaining, informative, and other adjectives
